“In its seventh annual America’s Safest Drivers Reports, the Allstate insurance company has ranked the 200 largest American cities according to collision frequency. Fort Collins, Colorado took the honors again, for the second year in a row.
In that community, the average driver is involved in an auto collision every 14 years. That driver is 28.6 percent less likely to have a collision than the national average, which amounts to a collision once in a decade. Runners-up on the “safest cities” scoreboard include Boise, Idaho and Lincoln, Nebraska, followed by Chandler, Arizona and Huntsville, Alabama.”
